Clinical Efficacy of Phase Leukocyte Reduction Filters in High-risk Patients (1)
The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical outcome, inflammatory response and myocardial function in high-risk patients undergoing three different leukocyte reduction filters depletion strategies. Over a four-month period, forty patients undergoing coronary revascularization were prospectively randomized to one of the four perfusion protocols. Conventional circuits two leukocyte filters with the method of two-phase leukofiltration; single leukocyte reduction filters with the method of continuous leukofiltration leukocyte filter with the method of strategic leukofiltration. Control without leukocyte filtration. Blood samples were collected at Baseline. Perioperative follow-up was thoroughly monitored.
