The Clinical Application of Leukocyte Reduction Filter
To observe the changes of blood quality before and after being filtered by a leukocyte reduction filter and to observe the degree to which the incidence of clinical non-hemolytic transfusion reactions is reduced, we conducted a large amount of experiments. After the white blood cells were removed with a leukocyte reduction filter from whole blood, the filter removed leukocyte and thrombocyte with high efficiency and selectivity. The results showed that the filters significantly reduced the incidence of clinical non-hemolytic transfusion reactions.
