Ravel-free Orthopedic Casting Tapes
A ravel-free orthopedic casting tape is made of a fiberglass substrate which is coated with a water reactive hardenable resin. And the fiberglass substrate is also coated with a soft flexible binder. This provides a thin stretchable coating on the substrate prior to the application of the water reactive hardenable resin to the substrate. The soft flexible binder provides ravel resistance to the casting tape.
